Referee Recertification page

This page will be used to re-certify referee's so they do not have to attend an actual seminar.  This will allow referee's to maintain their expertise and referee level while saving them time and money.  This service will only be available to re-certify at the same level as before.  An increase in level or a new certification will still have to attend an actual seminar.  All certified referee's are still encouraged to attend referee seminars when available in their area, for free.

    Instructions

Double check your name spelling, your address, and your e-mail.
Answer all the questions and then submit your re-certification exam with fee.
Answer all the questions to the best of your ability.  Percentages to pass are the same as in your book.

    EXAM......

    6. If I hit you and you are hurt but choose to withdraw with no
medic call what is the call for me?
    7. If I am a second degree, can I compete with the pattern Moon Moo?
    8.  If I am a second degree and I am marked as Blue and I compete with Moon Moo what is your call if you are not the center or senior referee?
    9. If I am performing Won-Hyo (I am a green belt) and I do 2 knifehand guarding blocks at the end of an otherwise flawless pattern, and my green belt opponent does the same pattern also flawlessly but has short L-stances on every move that has an L-stance, who wins?  I am red and he is blue.
    10. 2 black belts are competing in pattern.  Red stops on a move, obviously stuck, but holds that move for 10 seconds or so.  The other black belt, blue,  does an incorrect move.  Then they continue to do their pattern correctly until they finish.  What is your option as a judge.
    11. for the previous question (# 10) who wins?
    12. As a corner judge if you think too much contact is happening in your ring due to the center referee not calling excessive or regular contact calls, what would you do?
    13. You are judging patterns.  Decide which answer is correct or incorrect for the following possible errors.
            A. An L-stance has the back knee over the back toes
            B. Knife-hand guards are performed with hands open for the entire move.
            C. Hwa-Rang Tul, move 2 and 3 are performed in fast motion. (punches)
            D. Hwa-Rang Tul, move 18 and 19 are performed in fast motion. (turning kicks)
            E. Toi-Gae Tul, move 32 you slip the front foot, this foot should move to within 1/2 shoulder width of the other                     foot and then out to the new stance. (circular block)
    14. As a corner judge in sparring, you see each competitor score a single punch to the head, first one, then the other.  Do you have to mark these down?
    15. Count the number of points scored in the following secenarios.
        A. 2 punches to the head, on punch to the body and then 2 punches to the head.
        B. kick to the head, jump punch to the head, then punch to the head after landing.
        C. Jump punch to the head, kick to the body, then punch to the head which is called for contact.
        D. jump punch to the head, landing out of the ring, then another, landing in the ring.  No call to stop from the center          referee.
        E. Low kick, then 2 punches to the head.  The referee calls a warning for the low kick.
    16. What is the difference between a fixed stance and an L-stance in actual physical length.
    17. is a rising block full facing with the blocking tool on the solar plexus line?

Fee for recertification
To recertify online you must pass the exam with the same percentage required in your book.  Failure to reach the correct passing mark means you will have to re-do the test.  The fee is only charged one time.  Your marks will be sent to you via e-mail if you do not pass.  Otherwise you will receive the certificate and marks in the mail.  The online fee is $5.00 less than the fee for attending a seminar to re-certify.
