Insurance Eligibility 5 million liability coverage!
1 how the policy and the membership fee reduction came about
The ICTF of Canada group insurance policy was established to reduce the cost of insurance for all ICTF of Canada members. As a group our collective cost is much less than if we went to get insurance as a single club. The ICTF of Canada also intended to reduce the cost further with fund raising with the specific goal of paying a portion of the policy fee. Upon obtaining the casino fund raiser it was realized that the entire policy fee could be covered. The insurance coverage is free to all members.
2 who can benefit from the ictf of canada policy
Any black belt who runs a Taekwon-do club and is a member of the ICTF of Canada can request to be included in the group policy.
3 who is covered under the ictf of canada policy
All people who enter your facility whether they train or not. Slipping on the ice coming into your facility is covered. Parents getting hit by a flying board are covered. Fellow students training, doing demos, attending tournaments, etc.
This is a liability coverage which means to get money from it, you must sue. A cut lip will get you nothing from this policy unless you sue the instructor for damages. No lawyer will take a lawsuit for a cut lip or black eye unless the eye is permanently damaged.
4 multiple locations
Black belts who have multiple locations will follow these guidelines in regards to the policy. The policy will name one main location where the black belt teaches regularly. Other locations may be taught by other black belts or by the main black belt and these locations can be added to the policy. The address of all locations must be supplied to ICTF of Canada in order to be added to the policy. Please ask for the word document that explains what a satellite club is.
6 Miscellaneous
Considering the nature of our activity, any black belt found “cheating” the system will be fined $500. Unsafe actions jeopardize all members equally. A second infraction will be cause for permanent removal from the policy.
